TPM and Health Safety & Environment Officer (TPM-1021)

Our client, the world's number one steel company with over 320,000 employees in more than 60 countries, is willing to hire a "Total Productive Maintenance and Health Safety & Environment Officer" based in Volos.

Role Description:

A. As a dual role, the TPM Officer will be reporting to the Plant Manager. He/She will be in charge of supporting the creation and implementation of a cost reduction plan in Volos production Plant according to company WCM methodology.

In that function the successful candidate will be accountable for defining cost reduction targets, for involving all people in support functions on better plant performance. He/she will also be responsible for identifying and analysing potential losses and for providing outstanding solutions.

Additionally, the candidate will liaise with various departments to make sure that TPM is correctly applied. He/she will also indirectly report to the director of the organization.

B. In relation with corporate responsibilities, the HSE Officer is in charge of the Health, Safety & environment policy deployment. Ensuring the leadership of the HSE committee, he/ she is responsible for updating HSE key indicators and HSE trainings. Additionally, he/she is accountable for reporting to Dept managers in case of deviation, supporting production for technical improvements such as solvent recycling, water filtering....

Moreover, the ideal candidate will support production for Environment Certification (ISO 14001), he/she will trains managers to safety tools (risk analysis, safety audit) and with the plant manager delegation, he/she will give authorization for new equipments or new operating instruction.

Candidate Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a University Degree in Engineering, (preferably mechanical), 5-6 years of similar professional experience within a multinational industrial organization (in Greece and/or abroad).

The candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills, plus high abilities to structure, build and transfer knowledge, coupled with a very practical approach for improvement.

He/she will be strongly results oriented, very good knowledge of the English language is essential.
