Senior System/Business Analyst

BB20951 Pleasanton, CA 94588 1 Year Sr. System/Business Analyst Located in Pleasanton, CA, the client's IT Department is looking for a Senior System/Business Analyst who will be responsible for analysis/evaluation of business and/or system process and functional requirements, development of business cases, client support during system development and implementation of enhancements associated with client& 8217 s centralized Electronic Payment Switch (EPS). The EPS currently brokers all credit card transactions between CLIENT& 8217 s extensive network of pharmacies, refill centers, etc and CLIENT& 8217 s external payment processor(s). The Senior Analyst develops relationships with upstream and downstream business partners. Develops/maintains and changes business processes, and understands the business processes of assigned partners and how they relate to our functional areas. Develops and recommends changes to business processes. RESPONSIBILITIES & 8226 Full use and application of CLIENTIT standard principles, theories, and techniques. & 8226 Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways. & 8226 Develops and leverages relationships with peers, supervisors and management. & 8226 Understands their functional area business processes and assigned area. & 8226 Independently initiates, investigates, documents, and analyzes client requirements in project areas such as: new/existing business operating models with innovative approaches to solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment. & 8226 Assesses scope and impact of client business needs. & 8226 Develops business cases with cost, service, and benefit dimensions of proposed projects that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions. & 8226 Conducts and/or participates in the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and in the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. & 8226 Conducts workflows, process diagrams and gap analysis. & 8226 Identifies overlaps and related processes. & 8226 May assist in the development of project plans. & 8226 May use the associated project planning tools. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & 8226 Business managers and staff (Treasury and Pharmacy) & 8226 IT Shared Services (COO, CTO, CPO, CA) & 8226 IT SubPortfolios and thin portfolios: HR, Finance, Corporate Service, Legal and Program Offices & 8226 Outside vendors BASIC/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & 8226 Minimum of 8 years in a system/business analyst role, to include a minimum of 2 years of consulting in card-based payment systems and processes. & 8226 Bachelor's Degree in Business (Finance and/or Information Systems) or related discipline. & 8226 The candidates must possess exceptional analytical skills. & 8226 Identifies and documents cross-functional and/or cross-divisional, functional requirements, workflow, information sources and distribution paths, and system/process specifications. & 8226 Good understanding of software development life cycle in COTS system integration environment. & 8226 Excellent verbal, written communication and problem solving skills. & 8226 Must be able to work cooperatively as part of a large or small local and remote testing team. & 8226 Good organization and planning skills must be able to adjust priorities with changing needs of the projects. & 8226 Excellent skills in standard MS-Office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS-Project. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & 8226 Previous experience with Client in the above capacity preferred.
