Senior Group Internal Auditor - Cyprus

Our client, a highly successful financial services organisation are seeking a Senior Group Internal Auditor to oversee and implement all Cyprian auditing processes and procedures within the organisation. You will have a solid background in auditing with the ability to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.Main responsibilities of the role will include:Performs and supervises the performance of risk based audits in accordance with professional standards Performs and supervises the preliminary survey of operations, functions and activities and gathers information on key business risk. Adds value to and improves company operations by supervising and/or performing complex audit engagements Development and implementation of effective audit strategies Ensure the effective and accurate performance of auditing functions Develop policies and procedures for auditing operations in conjunction with Senior Managements recommendations Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies The successful candidate will have:A Bachelors degree in Accounting, MBA preferred.  As well as a recognised qualification in accounting (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIA) At least 10 years of progressive auditing experience required Previous experience within a senior management Audit role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ideal candidate will reside in Cyprus Extensive travel is required within this role Preferably French language (if not then Arabic)This is a Permanent position.
