LRS (Language Recruitment Services) is currently recruiting a Procurement & Contracts Management Assistant with fluency in any EU language for a major EU organisation based in the city of London. Working in the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) department you will be carrying out the following duties

• Facilitate procurement procedures by working on documents, leading evaluation meetings and providing assistance and advice on the preparation of documents and during the evaluation process
• Liaise with the client’s legal sector on documentation, methodology and legality of procedures
• Communicate with tenderers in accordance with EU procurement procedures
• Provide assistance in the preparation of dossiers for the Client’s Committee on Procurement and Contracts
• Participate in the area of contract monitoring
• Liaise with vendors to maintain good supplier relationships
• Assist in the area of information management
• Liaise with internal financial actors to foster good working relationships
• Handle confidential files and information
• Act as back-up for staff within the team

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in procurement and contracts management
• Good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to understand complex budgetary and financial information

Knowledge in the following areas preferred:

• Good knowledge of the procurement procedures of the European Union
• Practical experience of procurement procedures run in line with EU procedures
• Good knowledge of the financial regulations of the European Union
• Experience of working in an information technology and/or project management environment

Fluency in English and a minimum of one other EU language is required:
German; French; Italian; Dutch; Portuguese ; Czech and Slovak; Swedish; Danish; Finnish; Hungarian; Polish; Estonian; Greek; Lithuanian; Latvian; Slovenian; Spanish; Maltese; Romanian; Bulgarian

Candidates should be EU passport holders and educated to A Level equivalent as a minimum.
