European Finance Manager needed for sunny Malta

What is the job? The vacancy of European Finance manager or company accountant is a newly created job within the company as the finance department is growing and now needs a hands-on manager. You will manage a team of 4 Dutch and/or English speakers who have responsibility for day to day activities like AR and AP. As the European Finance manager you will deal with activities like month end, cash flow forecasting, management reporting and prepare 2 year-ends for 2 different entities. You will look into process improvement and liaise with an external consultancy to prepare for Audits. As the company is growing the size of the team and responsibilities of the finance department will evolve. Who is our client? Our client is a small company with a flat hierarchy slowly conquering Europe from Malta. The company is run by true entrepreneurs who have set up up their back office and head quarters in Malta. The product they sell are used by millions of people on a daily basis but the way they sell it is unique! Who are we looking for? To be considered for the role as European finance manager you must be ACCA qualified and are near native English. You have at least 5 years work-experience in an internationally trading company and previous people management experience. You are used short communication lines and can both give and take frank and honest feedback. You are looking to develop a finance team and possible become part of the management team as the company grows. As well you are willing to work in Malta for the next couple of years. Ideally you have worked for a trading or manufacturing company. Where is this international vacancy based? Working in Malta is great.
