For more information about GE Healthcare join our LinkedIn Group: GE Healthcare Global Community, http://linkd.in/p3Dqyk Posted Position Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Leader Eastern Europe Career Level: Experienced FunctionEnvironmental Health & Safety Function Segment: Health and Safety Location: Hungary City: Budaors Postal Code: 2040 Relocation AssistanceNo Role Summary/Purpose:The Regional EHS Leader is responsible for the health and safety requirements for Eastern Europe Region (Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Czech, Slovak, Serbia, Greece) including approximately 350 – mostly field – employees based across the region. Essential Responsibilities - Manage-coordinate Region Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Systems in compliance with Company and Regulatory requirements. - Ensure that records are maintained to demonstrate compliance. - Prepare and conduct EHS audits on the region’s country operations. - Be the focal point for external & internal audits and co-ordinate corrective actions. - Monitor company training relative to both Company and Regulatory EHS requirements. - Maintain professional relationship with national Regulatory bodies. - Ensure that local products and service offerings comply with Company guidelines. - Provide contractual guidance to the country region sales & service management on compliance Country regulatory & EHS legislation and ensure that local service offerings comply with company guidelines - Coordination of Service Feedback on Corrective & Preventive Actions. - Support the region Corporate Environmental Programs (CEP) Environmental Health & Safety Network. - Assist the country region in the introduction of new products and services. - Monitor and report on the implementation of local practices which impact the company - Support the Company/Region’s legal department to identify and resolve any local issues. - Ensure that the region Practices conform with Company’s and Regulatory EHS Policy. - Conduct and co-ordinate Accident, Incident and Near Miss investigations and reporting. - Act as Regional Site Administrator for Company’s reporting tool. Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology or related technical discipline - 5 years experience working in Health and Safety environment supporting a field bases population - Proven project and program management skills - National/International Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety - National/International certificate in Environmental protection - Auditing qualification and/or relevant experience and training Desired Characteristics - Healthcare experience - GE EHS experience is a plus - Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information - Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse, cross-functional, internal and external team - Previous people management experience - Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
