Centre of Excellence Consultant (EMEA wide role)

Region : GreeceThe Financial Services Global Business Unit (FSGBU) centre of excellence is a global delivery practice supporting the FSGBU solutions for the Financial Services. The initial focus will be on supporting the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Suite (OFSAA), the combination of risk & performance measurement analytics, within a unified platform and infrastructure. The intention is that CoE’s role may evolve into other key Financial Services (FS) solutions such as core banking.This individual will be responsible for supporting the development & delivery of the Financial Services Global Business Unit’s (FSGBU) solutions for Financial Services (mainly banks). The role will involve working X-LOB assisting with pre-sales, delivery and education and will include extensive travel within the EMEA region.Location: Based in any country within the EMEA region, this role has an EMEA wide remit and will therefore entail extensive travel (up to 100% of the time) across the region.Responsibilities:The main Roles and Responsibilities of the Centre of Excellence are:Exercise judgement and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations for the Oracle Financial Services Analytical applications and related FSI solutions.Provide direction and mentoring to local project teams, and effectively influence customer leadership on key decisions during the course of the implementation lifecycleSupport the implementation business development efforts for the Oracle Financial Services Analytical applications and related FSI solutions by pursuing new opportunities and extensions for consulting servicesCollaborate with the license sales teams by providing domain expertise and specific product knowledge for the Oracle Financial Services Analytical applications and related FSI solutions - assist with pre-sales activities such as marketing events/solution-product positioning/PoCs & solution definitionProvide feedback & collaboration with FSGBU development on Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications’ enhancement & evolutionEncourage a working model with partners to ensure promotion of Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application and deployment consistencySupport development of internal & external Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application Training ProgramQualifications/Experience required:Extensive experience in the Financial Services sectorStrong background either with a Financial Services solution provider (Risk and Performance Measurement Solution Provider / System Integrator, Business Consultancy, IT vendor or niche BI/Analytics applications vendor) or a background as a Banker in a Finance/Analytical role Preferably a former banker in a Performance Measurement / Risk/ Analytical capacity with specific experience of one or more of the following:o Profitability – funds transfer pricing, cost, capital and other allocations, Risk Adjusted Performance Measurement (RAPM)o Budget & Planning – process and techniqueso Risk Management Principles & in particular o Asset & Liability Management (ALM) – Interest Rate Risk & Liquidity Risko Basel II implications, Credit/Market Risk & data requirementsBalance of advanced technical skills, functional knowledge, client consultative skills and operational management experience. Pre-sales presentation and relationship skillsTransportable experience in consultative selling and/or implementing analytical solutionsAbility to work effectively across different Lines of Businesses and with clients at all levels as the sole Oracle representative.Has at least 10-15 years consulting or financial services industry experience.
