PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Accounting and Controlling Supervisor contributes to the result of Software, Maintenance, Consulting and Education Line of Businesses for the countries of Greece and Cyprus (part of SAP SEME), within the adopted corporate strategy by actively and proactively delivering Group financial reports and meeting all Statutory requirements. The Accounting and Controlling Supervisor contributes to the quality of work processes and the output of the finance department. Forecasts, analyses and proposals for improving operations should also contribute to this. He/she manages Accounting and controlling activities out of Athens (Greece) and works in close cooperation with the Local Finance director and MU Controller.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The Accounting and Controlling Supervisor is responsible for monitoring from Statutory and Group perspective all accounting activities, including Tax, VAT, Social Security payments, for drafting, recording and analyzing the financial reports, budgets and forecasts of Greece and Cyprus organizations. Reconciliation with other departments in SAP is also part of the responsibility. More specifically:

* Managing Accounting activities in close cooperation with rest of the Accounting Team

* Controlling Budgeting and FC activities in close cooperation with rest of the Accounting Team and Business Units

* Responsible for drafting and analyzing the SAP Hellas and Cyprus reports

* Ensuring that the Accounting department delivers Statutory and Management, accurate and timely reports

* Monitoring all Statutory Accounting and Tax changes and keeps up-to-date with Group Accounting Standards and processes

WORK EXPERIENCE

* 4 years experience in the area of Accounting and Controlling

* Knowledge and experience in the IT branch is an advantage

* Commercially minded/experienced

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* Higher professional education (University Degree)/ higher education working and thinking level

* Educated in the field of Accounting / Controlling

* Knowledge of SAP FI/CO is essential, knowledge of SAP SD desirable

* ''A'' Level Signature right for Greece.

* Statutory Accounting and Tax are considered essential.

* Knowledge of financial legislation (USGAAP, IFRS)

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
